An Update on Martyn’s Law
Alan Cain is the Head of Security and Emergency Management at the University of Salford. His previous roles include EPRR Manager for NHS Greater Manchester, Head of Security at Manchester Metropolitan University, Head of Security at the University of Leeds and Operations Support Manager at the US Embassy in London. He holds an MA in Intelligence and Security Studies and is a Fellow of the Institute of Strategic Risk Management.
His presentation will cover an overview of the current terrorist threat, an update on Martyn’s Law following its Second Hearing in the House of Commons on 14th October 2024, and a look at the overlap between Martyn’s Law and Emergency Planning.
The Webinar will take place at 3pm on Tuesday 19th November following the AGM which will start at 2.30pm.
